Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro: Everything you need to know to find the best Xiaomi smartphone

We’re not going to tell you that it’s easy to choose between two smartphones that are apparently very similar. That’s why the first thing we’re going to do is analyse the main strengths of each one separately. But first, do you know what characterises each range?

  • Redmi: these are mid-range mobiles in which functional aspects are more important than aesthetic ones. Within this range, the Redmi Note is slightly better than the Redmi.
  • Poco: although it has only recently become a more independent brand, its mobiles are slightly more sophisticated than the Redmi, especially in terms of design. They have a more ground-breaking and avant-garde aesthetic, and some more advanced features.

You already know the main difference between the two series of smartphones, and now we have to tell you that we have taken the 5G version of both models as a reference. In the case of the Poco, it only has this, but Redmi also offers a standard version.

Which Xiaomi phones sell the most?

In order for you to have a reliable point of reference, and even see the opinions and purchase experiences of other users, we show you the list of the best-selling Xiaomi smartphones on Amazon:

1)Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: pastel colours and built-in Artificial Intelligence

Let’s start by highlighting the Redmi’s features. As we told you, you can opt for the standard version, although in this case we have chosen the 5G.

Thanks to the Snapdragon 695 processor and Liquid Cool technology, the smartphone has a high temperature resistance. In addition, it has an IP53 rating, which means it also offers some tolerance to splashes of water and specks of dust.

The 6.67″ display has AMOLED technology and a Full HD+ resolution. This model is particularly noteworthy for its ability to be unlocked in three different ways: by entering the PIN, using the fingerprint sensor, or through an AI-based facial recognition system.

It has three rear cameras, one less than the standard model. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G includes a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The front camera, meanwhile, is 16 MP. It also supports video recording at up to 30 fps.

Finally, we highlight its 5000 mAh battery with fast charging option. As you can see, this is a very complete smartphone with very good value for money.

2) Poco X4 Pro: more original design and larger storage

The second protagonist of our review is the Poco X4 Pro, the most recent model from the company that, last year, separated from Xiaomi, although it shares much of the technology with it.

The truth is that it is a smartphone that is very similar to its rival, except for a few superficial issues. For example, this phone is available in brighter and more vivid colours than the Redmi, which is more pastel.

Here, too, we find a triple rear camera system and a front camera with the same resolution in all four cases. And, unsurprisingly, they also share the same battery capacity and fast charging option.

Another difference lies in the storage capacity, in this case, the maximum. It shares the same processor as the Redmi, but the Poco X4 Pro can store up to 256GB, slightly more capacity than the 128GB that its competitor can store at most.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro: Redmi advantages

Most features are the same in both models. However, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has an AI-based facial unlocking system, which its rival lacks. However, this is the only feature where it clearly wins.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro: Pros of the Poco model

We’re not going to kid you; there aren’t many more different features, but the Poco X4 Pro seems to us to be better in two specific areas:

More storage capacity

Finally, we look at a small difference that slightly elevates the Poco X4 Pro, and that is that it has a maximum storage capacity of 256GB. The Redmi Note 11 Pro, on the other hand, can only store up to 128 GB, although it is expandable with a microSD card.

Designs to choose from

The most important difference between the two protagonists of our review is the set of colours you can choose from, and we award the victory to the Poco X4 Pro because we find them more attractive and original.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is available in graphite grey, polar white and Atlantic blue. The Poco X4 Pro is available in corporate yellow, neon blue or neon black.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro: What do they have in common?

Except for the three small details we have already mentioned, the rest of the features are identical between the two devices:

  • Display: they both have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and the same contrast ratio. They also have the same maximum brightness of 1200 nits. As you can see, it’s pretty much the same screen.Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro_1
  • Liquid Cool technology: to prevent the phone from overheating quickly, both are equipped with a multi-layer system that is complemented by an evaporator and a condenser to prevent the temperature from concentrating.
  • Battery capacity: in both cases we find a 5000 mAh battery equipped with a 67 watt charger.
  • Cameras: another similarity between the two models is that they have three rear cameras (a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera) and a 16 MP selfie camera.
  • Fast charging: if you want to get a relatively high percentage of charge in just a few minutes, you can do it with either of the two.
  • Processor: the Snapdragon 695 is the processor that both phones have, with 8 cores. They also share the same operating system, MIUI 13.
  • Sensors: both the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Poco X4 Pro have the same sensors: fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass and infrared emitter.
  • NFC: the technology that enables mobile payments, in this case with Google Pay, is included in both models.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Vs Poco X4 Pro: Which is the better smartphone?

To tell the truth, they are pretty much the same, so there is no one model that stands out more clearly over the other. After analysing the two models, we came to the conclusion that the decision will be based primarily on subjective criteria.

This means that it is the aesthetic criterion that will help us to make our decision, as the price is also not a decisive factor in this case. In fact, the design is perhaps the most significant difference. The Poco brand opts for more vivid and intense colours, less common than what we are used to, and that is why we particularly like it.

So feel free to choose either of the two, as they are equal in practically all important functional features. So, although it’s not what we usually say, the decision, in this case, depends on your chromatic tastes.
